Oggi invece due interventi politici

Il primo di un esponente del partito FRELIMO, Fronte per la Liberazione del Mozambico..il partito al potere dalla indipendenza..prima marxista-leninista..ora democratico..
Il funzionario è stato molto diplomatico e molto mainstream..ma il pubblico lo ha incalzato con domande e provocazioni..molte delle quali evase..
Il problema grande è il divario fra nord e sud..dato anche dal fatto che il nord è feudo della RENAMO, il rivale storico della FRELIMO e primo partito di opposizione..
Nel pomeriggio il rappresentante della Caritas invece ha illustrato, in un vivace dibattito, le sue visioni..che sono quelle popolari..
Ho ammirato l’uomo che ha detto,in un paese in cui ancora Frelimo detta legge, che i presidenti pensano solo alle loro tasche..
Certo un po’ di antipolitica che fa sempre presa..e anche un po’ di anti-americanismo, ma nel complesso un intervento che ha messo in luce le difficoltà in cui si dibatte il popolo..e gli interventi locali di Caritas a sostegno..
Iniziative di microcredito, di appoggio nella creazione della catena dei prodotti alimentari per garantire accesso ai piccoli produttori..

Just like Sister Act..same energy and power..

She illustrated the gestures..how to wave..how to greet..how to receive things..how to sit..seems obvious..but it is not..it really makes a change with locals..it is recognizing their culture..giving value..and treat them as pairs..
Then we had two classes on politics..the first one a member of FRELIMO, the ruling party gave a speech..really following the lines of the party..avoiding the more embarrassing questions..especially regarding the North-South confrontation..where the North is the stronghold of RENAMO, the opposition party, and therefore put a bit aside in the allocation of funds, development..
Then the local representative of CARITAS gave a speech about the state of Mozambique..he reflected the common people point of view..a bit of populism..but also brave when I denounced the corruption which is really depleting the resources of this great country..and a bit of anti-American rhetoric too..
He also illustrated the activities of Caritas : -microcredit, work with little producer to help them access the market and thus improving the supply chain..
The centre of Guiúa has also been visited by some Canadian friends who are funding the publication of liturgy and educative books in local languages.
